KENMORE POLICE VOLUNTEERS


In July 2000, the Kenmore Police Department started a, “Citizen Volunteer Program. The program allows residents to participate in wide variety of community programs, e.g. house checks, delivery of citations to the court, false alarm enforcement, community traffic safety, and storefront clerk, just to mention a few.
The following are the qualifications to become a Kenmore Police Volunteer:

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Pass a background check
  • Complete a polygraph examination
  • Be willing to commit to four hours of service a month

Volunteers are provided with the following:

  • A jacket identifying them as a, 'Kenmore Volunteer,'
  • Cellular phone for communications, as required,
  • Use of the traffic safety car for transportation.
