Special Events in Kenmore are expanding and so is the opportunity to get involved in your local community. Events gather a community together, help educate and enlighten, and foster community pride. New events are added frequently, check in often to this events web page to stay updated on all the fun activities happening in Kenmore in 2016.



April 22, 23 & 24

Beautify Kenmore

A day to “give back” to the community. Celebrate Earth Day by picking up litter or beautifying the common space around your neighborhood. Additional details to come.




July 4            

4th of July Fireworks Show     

8:00pm  Fireworks Show fires at 10:00pm

Log Boom Park

NE 175th Street & 61st Avenue NE, Kenmore


Watch the night sky light up and have a fun-filled Fourth of July! The Kenmore Fireworks Show presented by Frank Lumber blasts off at 10 p.m. from the Log Boom Park pier (17415 61st Ave NE). Prior to the fireworks show, join in the festivities with fun activities and food vendors from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event is free and all you need to bring is a blanket or chair!

As a reminder, personal fireworks are prohibited in Kenmore city limits.

National Night Out Against Crime

Come meet your local police officers and neighbors at the annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 2 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Kenmore City Hall. The Kenmore Police Department invites you to join them for a free barbecue with hot dogs and hamburgers, learn tips on home and personal safety, and enjoy other activities.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals, letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Kenmore Play Day

This popular, free community event offers kids of all ages an opportunity to discover the fun of play by participating in a variety of activity booths. 

Join us for Kenmore Play Day on August 13. This day is dedicated to the kids in the community to enjoy the outdoors. The event features play stations, education booths, fitness stations, crafts, and more.

The FREE shuttle bus will run from 9:35 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the last shuttle leaving Rhododendron Park at 2:15 p.m.. Children must be accompanied by an adult to ride the shuttle. Shuttle pick up locations will soon be located at:

  • Pioneer Towing parking lot, 6423 NE 175th St
  • Northshore Utility District, 6830 NE 185th St

Jack Crawford Day

Come join us at the annual park clean up event, Jack V. Crawford ‘Courtesy is Contagious in Kenmore’ Day, on October 22 from 9 am – 12 pm at Log Boom Park. The event is in honor of Kenmore’s first mayor and his contributions to the City. Volunteers are needed to help remove invasive plants and pick up trash. If you have them, please bring your own work gloves. Tools, drinks, and snacks will be provided. Grab some dinner or dessert from The Grilled Cheese Experience and Daddy’s Donuts! Trick-or-Treat through City Hall, then enjoy our special movie Toy Story “Tower of Terrors”.
